BUFFING WHEELS
4” x 42 ply 3 rows stitched muslin buffing wheel with a shellac center
Using a tapered spindle on your buffer allows you to quickly remove or replace these buffs during the buffing process.
Muslin buffs are generally used to begin the buffing and polishing process for many materials. Tripoli may be a good polishing compound to start with, then work your way finer as required.
Do not mix polishing compounds on your wheels, or allow charged wheels to come in contact with each other. You may contaminate the wheel with coarser grit and sabotage your finishing operation. Use a different buffing wheel with each polishing compound, and hang the buffs on a peg-board when not in use.
For highest finishes we recommend that you use a fine polishing compound like white rouge and a cotton buffing wheel, or a chamois buffing wheel.
