CRATEX
Dimensions shown are large diameter to small diameter x length x arbor hole.
Use with Cratex 1341 mandrel or equivalent
Cratex rubberized abrasives are made in four standard colors, designating the size of the silicon carbide abrasive grain used:
Coarse (Dark Green)
Medium (Dark Brown)
Fine (Reddish Brown)
Extra Fine (Grey Green)
Cratex tapered cones are excellent for cleaning and polishing metal surfaces, breaking edges, smoothing away high spots, removing rust, heat marks, tarnish and stains.
Designed for either manual or mechanical operation, Cratex cones can be mounted in tool holding fixtures, chucks, or cradles. Used for polishing shafts, cleaning and dressing diamond wheels, polishing rotating cylindrical parts, cleaning calibration and reference points, removing feathered edges, or touching up cutting tools, dies, chisels and other sharp edged tools.
The maximum safe RPM depends on the length the shank and cone extends from your grinder, and is marked on the package. Best results are usually obtained at 30% to 80% of the maximum safe speed, with a light work pressure.
Do not exceed the maximum safe operating speeds when using Cratex rubberized abrasives.
ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES WHEN USING CRATEX ABRASIVES
