Instructions:
The Jiffy jump ring tool is supplied with three round rods for round jump rings, and two rectangular rods for oval jump rings. The rectangular rods are shorter than the round rods making for easier removal of the jump ring coils from the rods.
1) Select the rod that best fits the wire being used. Wrap the wire around the rod making a coil.
2) Release one end of a 4/0 jewelers saw blade from a jewelers saw frame, and run the saw blade through the rod groove and center of the coiled wire. Reattach the saw blade in the frame.
3. Insert the saw blade, coil and rod into the v-block
To make jump rings faster, make several jump ring coils and then thread all the coils onto the saw blade to cut at the same time.
To remove an oval coil, slightly flatten the sides of the coil with chain nose pliers.
Order separately the 4/0 jewelers saw blades ( p/n 49404 ), jewelers saw frame ( p/n 49753 ) and chain nose pliers ( p/n 46421 ). They are not included in this jump ring tool kit.
