For dry-cutting CR-39, polycarbonate and high-index lenses on your optical edger

Lens edger blades cut the edge of the eyeglass lens, assuring a tighter fit and better interface between the lens and groove in the eyeglass frame. There is no rounding of the lens bevel as with the grinding method.

FOR BEST RESULTS:

Cleaning the edger blades will remove build-up and keep them cutting free
Check the blades often for wear and replace when necessary
Sharp blades will cut clean, dull blades will chip the lens edge
Keep a good inventory of back-up blades on hand
Carbide is hard and brittle, do not drop edger blades on hard surfaces
