These Baldor spindles will only fit Baldor tapered shaft motors.

Brass tapered spindles have a hole that is tapered to perfectly match the tapered shaft of the Baldor motor. There are no set screws. To mount, lightly tap the spindle onto the tapered shaft with a wooden mallet.

To remove, simply twist the Baldor buffer spindle remover lever, pushing the spindle off the tapered shaft.

The Baldor tapered spindle mounting system assures a more accurate fit between buff, spindle and arbor, and reduces buffing wheel vibration.
