PEGAS TROUBLESHOOTING
For best results the white tension lever should be 1/4" away from the saw arm.
Flipped all the way over to the arm is too tight. The lever may pop out of place, and you may get some knocking from the white lever beating on the saw arm. This could prematurely wear out the white lever.
Excalibur and Seyco users are used to flipping the lever all the way over right up against the arm. This is too far on the Pegas. Leave it around 1/4" away from the arm.
If your scroll saw has any mileage on it there might be a little play in the chassis. With the lever 1/4" away from the arm simply push down lightly on the saw arm as you secure the blade in the holder.

Too much tension, or too little tension, may cause your scroll saw blades to fail prematurely. Apply just enough tension to hold the blade with no more give than 1/8" from side to side. If you pluck the blade, like a banjo string, you want to hear a nice, clear "ping".
Happy Scrolling!
