CLAY CRUCIBLES

Best choice for melting gold, silver, and bronze. Fused silica crucibles are made with a clay bond, for melting temperatures up to 2500°F (1371°C).

Outside dimensions do not include the 3/8" pouring spout.

When melting any powdered metal, preheat the empty crucible to get it very hot. Add a little metal powder and gently bring the torch flame to the crucible. This should help to keep the powder from flying out of the crucible.

After melting is complete and cooled down the metal should loosen itself from the crucible.

You should be able to get several melts out of these high quality crucibles.
